Wireless Write For Us

Wireless is a term used to express wireless communications and data broadcast. In a broad sense, wireless refers to any telecommunication or data transfer in which electromagnetic waves, rather than some form of wire or cable, carry signals through part or all of the data communication path.

The first wireless transmitters were transmitted in the early 20th century using radiotelegraphy, radio communication using Morse code or other coded signals. Later, as variety made it possible to share voices and music wirelessly, the medium became known as “radio”.

Modern wireless technology is primarily concerned with data transmission. It allows communication of all types of data over short and long distances without needing a physical cable.

Types Of Wireless Networks

Several types of wireless networks meet different needs, including:

  • Municipal Wireless Network (RMW). An MWN is a wireless network operated by a local government authority. Provides access to users in a particular geographic area.
  • Wireless local area network (WLAN). A WLAN is enabled through Wi-Fi technology on a local area network. It uses a wireless access point that allows connectivity with terminals. WLANs also use various Wi-Fi standards specifications, including Wi-Fi 6, also known as 802.11ax, the latest generation and the standard for wireless Internet.
  • Wireless Metropolitan Area Network (WMAN). A WMAN provides access outside of the office and home networks. It is more significant than a wireless LAN but smaller than a wireless WAN.
  • Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN). A WPAN is typically enabled with short-range wireless technology, such as Bluetooth, to connect to peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and headsets.
  • Wireless Wide Area Network (WWAN). WWAN uses cellular technology, including 2G, 3G, 4G, LTE, and 5G, to enable wireless communications. A WWAN is also sometimes called mobile broadband.
